Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of hinabiprive.com and the memberships, gatherings, and services offered by Hinabi Privé (“Hinabi Privé,” “the house,” “we,” “us”). By subscribing, applying, reserving a place, or otherwise transacting with us, you agree to them. Hinabi Privé is a media and cultural business. What we offer

We publish a paid written correspondence and members’ community (The HAUS of Hinabi); a standing membership for working artists (Global Residencies); places at in-person cultural residencies and gatherings (The ARCS); and patronage arrangements for partner houses (Curate). Each is described on its own page, with its price and what it includes.

Prices & payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed by our payment providers — recurring memberships through our newsletter platform (Beehiiv) and Stripe; residency reservations and other one-off purchases through Stripe. We do not store your card details. By purchasing, you authorise us and our providers to charge the amount shown.

Memberships

The HAUS (£88 per month) and Global Residencies (£588 per month, by application) are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period, after which billing stops. Global Residencies is offered only to accepted applicants, and no fee is taken until you are invited in. See Refunds & Cancellation for how cancellation works.

Residencies & gatherings (The ARCS)

Places at ARCS residencies are limited and admitted by waitlist and selection. Applying to the waitlist is free. Should you be offered and accept a place, the £2,888 ticket reserves it; the ticket covers your place at the ARC only — accommodation, room upgrades, and travel are arranged and priced separately with Concierge, and balances for those arrangements fall due on the terms stated to you at that time. Places are held in your name and are subject to the cancellation terms set out in Refunds & Cancellation. Attendance is conditional on the house rules of the room, including our phone-free policy, and on the guest conducting themselves with the care the room asks for; we reserve the right to decline or end attendance where that care is absent, without refund.

Patronage (Curate)

Patronage arrangements are bespoke, entered by written agreement between Hinabi Privé and the partner house, and governed by that agreement in addition to these terms.

Your content & conduct

Where you submit an application, a brief, or a letter, you confirm it is truthful and yours to share. Our written letters, essays, designs, and the material of our rooms remain the intellectual property of Hinabi Privé and its contributors, and are for your personal, non-commercial use unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Liability

We hold our rooms and our work to a high standard, but nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from any purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for matters outside our reasonable control.

Changes & governing law

We may update these terms; the version published here at the time of your purchase governs that purchase. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, and the United States courts have jurisdiction. Questions: concierge@hinabiprive.com.
